Marwie - Close To You

The singer Marwie from Berlin has one of the most beautiful voices in the German music scene. Her interpretations open up new spheres of jazz and pop and melt them together to create her own world. Sovereign, almost disrespectful - she covers world hits and weaves them into Marwie-songs. This mixture of quiet sounds and linear phrasing combine to make the unique sound of Marwie. She sings classics like “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy“ (Rod Stewart), „Maniac“ (Michael Sembello) and “I’m Not In Love“ (10CC). Marwie can even turn Suzie Quatro’s “If You Can’t Give Me Love“ into jazz.

Produced by Christian von Kaphengst who successfully worked with Till Brönner. And Till Brönner himself took the photos of the album. Marwie is cool…
