Christian Prommer & Roberto Di Gioia Vs. The Crusaders – Revisit

Christian Prommer is well known in electronic music, drum´n´bass and techno music. A few years ago he successfully started to play live concerts with his band „Drumlessons“. Another member of „Drumlessons“ is Roberto Di Gioia, who is known for his project „Marsmobil“, an equally open mind who loves to explore different musical poles.

Together they decide to delve into the music of their „old heroes“ the Crusaders. How would they sound today? They started to listen to their old vinyls again and even write their own songs dedicated to the Crusaders. Part of this collaboration is singer Majid Bekkas, who added an almost hypnotic atmosphere to „Different Sides Of Music“.

Joe Sample himself is telling little stories about the songs of the album. It´s not their super hits, no „Streetlife“, but pearls of the 60th and 70th.

Christian Prommer plays drums and percussion, creates the „Beatz“ and is responsible for the „Fx“. Roberto Di Gioia added his special style on piano, Wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes, which amazed even Joe Sample. Roberto played the synths, Mini Moog, bass, Moog Bass and Mellotron as well.
